The article focuses on the explanation of our fully automated “ROBOT” system for switch repair welding. This robot-controlled overall process uses inspection and measurement technology, welding and machining technology. The data and parameters of these processes are fully integrated digitally.
The preventive maintenance approach described focuses on the switch frog, wing rail and switch rail.
With this automated process, downtimes can be increased with fewer personnel and reproducible results.
